Do you, for you

"Visualise your highest self, and start showing up as her"

Who doesn't like to have a good day? No one right? Here are a few of my favourite small daily tasks, for mass daily gain.

1. Start your day off right:

Ever notice how you feel cranky when your morning is rushed and stressful? Well, that's not going to do you, or anyone else, any good. So vow, from now on, to do you before your day begins. Whether it's setting tasks/goals for the day, meditating or enjoying your breakfast without social distractions. This time dedicated to you will not only make your day better, but it will rub off on others too.

2. Do something nice for someone else:

There's a popular quote that has stuck by me from a young age "Treat others how you'd like to be treated". It's the littlest things that can make someone's day totally turn around — which can make your day better, too! Compliment a different person on how damn good they look, pay for the person's coffee behind you, and share your lunch. Doing these random acts of kindness produce good karma and they really do make you feel better.

3. Be helpful in little ways

It's so easy to walk by a piece of garbage in the street, or leave an abandoned shopping cart in the parking lot. And yet it's also so easy to pitch in and help out. Small, simple gestures are you showing respect, gratitude, and appreciation. And that's kind of a big deal.

4. Let your creativity flow:

It's important to take time out everyday to do something for you that isn't stressful or too time consuming. Grab some paper and colored pencils, and let your imagination guide your hands, or keep a coloring book on hand for when you just, you know, need a moment. Creativity is shown to have a really positive effect on mental health, so finding time to express yourself and get in the flow might bring you out of a foul mood and into a whole new mental space.

5. Pat yourself on the back

I feel as though all of us as human beings are on a continuous 'go' attitude. But how often do you take a step back and actually appreciate where you are now? One of my favourite quotes of all time is "Give yourself some credit for how far you've come". You're allowed to be proud of yourself! So pat yourself on the back and be thankful at this present time.

6. Stay well hydrated and nourished

Having a healthy, balanced diet plays an important role in your overall health and wellbeing. Think about it. Your brain is always “on.” It takes care of your thoughts and movements, your breathing and heartbeat, your senses — it works hard 24/7, even while you’re asleep. This means your brain requires a constant supply of fuel. That “fuel” comes from the foods you eat — and what’s in that fuel makes all the difference. You deserve to treat your body the way it should be treated.

If you've read all the way to here…

I want you to set a goal to do one random act of kindness for a stranger each day for a week. Record how you're feeling each day and see how you're mental health and overall wellbeing has improved by the end of the week! Don’t be shy either - If you have any questions or want to share your improvements I'd love to hear all about it! Just send me a DM or sign up to my mailing system and I'll get back to you as soon as possible!

Lots of love and happy being the best version of you!

Gené xx
