The Steps I Take For a Productive Morning

I've said it multiple times before and I won't stop saying it - having a great morning routine is key for a productive day! I realised I never actually shared my morning routine, so that's what this blog is all about. I hope you guys take something valuable or gather some insight from what I do to set up my day!

6:15am - This is the time I wake up WITHOUT fail every.single.day. I sometimes wish my body didn't wake up so on time, as a sleep in would be nice! I'm the type of person that when the first alarm goes off, I am straight out of bed!

6:20am - I make my bed, get into my activewear and have 2 full glasses of water to get my metabolism firing and toxins out of my body. I also have my pre-workout from either Happy Way or Naked Harvest if I know I'm doing a hectic workout!

6:30am - I move my body! Which 95% of the time is a pilates online class! (Fun fact - I have never actually had a gym membership, I always do my pilates classes online) Click here to view the website/membership I use!

7:15am - By now I've moved my body and I'm ready to set up my day mentally. I use the Bloom App to do a meditation and log my mood. I then journal for another 5 mins, I alternate between what I like to call 'brain dumps' and having journal prompts. I decide on however I'm feeling that day!

7:30am - I get ready for the day! I have a shower, put on my 'day' clothes (which we all know is definitely getting back into activewear lol)

7:45am - I eat a nutritious breakfast. While I'm eating I like to write my to do list for the day and also check my social media. I then start either baking, studying or working for the day!

As you can see, I love setting up my day early. By all means I am not saying this is the 'correct' way to start your day, this is just what I've found works for me! A morning routine helps us set the tone for the day, better allowing us to control our schedules rather than our schedule controlling us. As we start each day fresh, we can better focus on what is in front of us, where to prioritise our time, and, ultimately, increase our productivity.

"The morning is an important time of day. How you spend your morning can often tell you what kind of day you will have"

If you've read all the way to here…I hope sharing my morning routine helps you find productivity or assist in creating your own morning routine! I'd love to hear back from you and if you have any questions, sign up to my mailing system or send me a DM!

Lots of love,

Gené xx
